Review: Having the right iron can make all the difference when faced with heavy ironing jobs. Rowenta’s DW5080 Focus Steam Iron is one of the best candidates, with its consistent steam that allows you to say goodbye to the toughest wrinkles almost instantaneously and a nice weight that reduces the pressure needed for any type of ironing task. Most people either have no time or are too lazy to get up and iron their clothes, especially in the morning. The Focus Iron heats up in no time and glides smoothly over your clothes with its scratch-resistant stainless steel soleplate, making it perfect for your work clothes or day-to-day wear and making sure that you always look sharp. The tip is even shaped in such a way that you can get in between buttons and other difficult places easily. The DW5080, although one of the most affordable Rowentas, is still priced a bit high when compared to regular irons, but it is a small price to pay considering the time and energy saved while using the iron. Ease of use is also superb, having a large thermostat knob for adjusting temperature, a long 78" cord and a handle that remains comfortable to hold. Safety-wise, there’s no need to worry as it features a 3-way shut-off which automatically turns the unit off when tipped over or left unused for 8 minutes vertically and 30 seconds horizontally. Finally, the Rowenta DW5080 Focus Steam Iron has a 10-oz.water reservoir that holds a great amount of water. The best thing is that unlike other Rowentas which require the exclusive use of distilled water, tap water can be used with this particular model. Some users noted that the tank’s water level marks are a little difficult to see, though.
